Using a bespoke navigation system to mimic the feel of a print publication, Issue one features Atoms For Peace, Nick Hornby, Mumford and Sons and many more.
Working in collaboration with Boat Studio, we designed and developed the online magazine. The site was built on a custom CMS which gave the editors the freedom to lay out articles themselves. Using a simple toolkit, they could tailor each page to include essays, interviews, video and photographic content.
The responsive website utilises gestures allowing readers to swipe between stories on mobile devices. It also uses a linear navigation system, so the reader has an experience that is as close as possible to a page-turning, printed magazine.
